The die is a tablet press die for pressing tablets. The working end faces of the upper and lower punches form the surface shape of the tablet. The diameter of the middle die is the diameter of the tablet. The die is the main working element of the tablet press. Usually, a pair of dies includes three parts: upper die, middle die and lower die. The structure of the upper and lower dies is similar, and the punch diameter is also equal. The punch diameter of the upper and lower dies is matched with the die hole of the middle die, and can slide up and down freely in the middle die hole, but there is no gap that can leak powder. According to the structural shape of the die, it can be divided into circular and special shapes (including polygonal and curved shapes). The shape of the end face of the punch includes plane, bevel, shallow concave, deep concave and comprehensive shape. The plane and bevel punches are used to press flat cylindrical tablets, the shallow concave is used to press double convex tablets, the deep concave is mainly used to press chips of coated tablets, and the comprehensive shape is mainly used to press special-shaped tablets. In order to facilitate the identification and taking of drugs, the drug name, dose and vertical and horizontal lines can also be engraved on the end face of the die. Pressing different doses of tablets, should choose the appropriate size of the die. The working process of the tablet press The working process of the tablet press can be divided into the following steps: 1. The punch part of the down punch (its working position is upward) extends into the middle die hole from the lower end of the middle die hole to seal the bottom of the middle die hole; 4. Upward punch and lift out of the hole. The downward punch rises to push the tablets out of the middle die hole to complete a tabletting process. 5. Down to the original position to prepare for the next filling.
